About Algebra Nation

Algebra Nation was created in 2013 when The University of Florida joined forces with Study Edge to create a highly-effective, online resource to dramatically improve student achievement in Algebra 1—a required course that is a key “gateway” to higher-level math courses and high-growth careers in STEM fields. Algebra Nation provides dynamic concept videos featuring experienced math teachers, a complementary workbook, an online practice tool that provides instant feedback, and a moderated online forum that allow students to seek extra help from Study Experts, teachers, and their peers. Teachers can access Algebra Nation’s best-practice teaching videos, curated lesson plans, and a discussion forum where they can collaborate with peers from across the state. Currently, Algebra Nation provides tailored, state-specific resources to students and educators across Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, and through early-phase pilot programs in Mississippi and Alabama.
